With extensive experience in fine art printmaking, computer technology, and art history, the group believed that by using state-of-the-art digital scanning and printing techniques combined with archival inks, papers, and canvas, it would be possible to reproduce artwork from Museums around the world with an accuracy, quality and longevity previously unattainable.

LCP was interested not only in traditional museum images, but also in the great works of art that lie hidden in museum vaults due to fragility or lack of display space.
