LookClickPrint And British Museum Announce Print License

Albuquerque, NM. -- LookClickPrint, Inc., a U.S. company specializing in the creation of premium-quality reproductions of images from museums and special collections worldwide, is pleased to introduce the first in a series of on-going projects with The British Museum.

The British Museum is currently featuring a magnificent exhibition of work by the artist Albrecht Dürer as a prelude to its 250th year anniversary in 2003. In conjunction with this exhibition, LookClickPrint has been selected by the Museum to create precise reproductions of important Dürer images. These reproductions are being produced in the United States and are available for purchase to the general public.

This exhibition celebrates the outstanding representation of Dürer prints, drawings and watercolors maintained by British Museum, and is the first exhibition in Britain devoted to Dürer in over thirty years.

LookClickPrint and the British Museum Company have been working closely together to ensure that each print conforms to the highest standards of quality and accuracy, and truly expresses the unique beauty and exquisite detail of the original work.

Combining the Old-World skills of a Master Printmaker with state-of-the-art high resolution digital scanning and printing techniques, LookClickPrint replicates the subtle nuances of color, shading, and line that characterize these great works of art. The quality is such that each print must be clearly identified on the reverse as being a reproduction rather than the original.

Mr. Andrew Thatcher, Managing Director of The British Museum Company Limited, states that, “The British Museum is delighted with the quality of the prints that LookCLickPrint produced for our very successful exhibition of the work of Albrecht Dürer”.

Other British Museum images are also currently represented by LookClickPrint, including fascinating 16th century drawings of North America and its people by the English artist John White, and delicately colored Japanese woodblock prints.

British Museum images are available for direct purchase online through www.lookclickprint.com and www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/.

Prints can also be obtained in London from The British Museum Company. Shops located in the Great Court and off the Weston Great Hall. Branches are at 22 Bloomsbury Street and Heathrow Terminal 4 airside.
