     Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Giclée print?
Giclée prints are created from the artist’s original work. An extremely high-resolution digital image of the artwork is made and then printed by a high-resolution printer on to fine art paper or canvas.

What is the difference between a Giclée and a poster?
An offset lithograph/poster does not have the fineness of detail achievable with the high-resolution giclée process.

What is the difference between a Giclée and an LCP UltraGiclée™?
LookClickPrint creates an UltraGiclée™ with a combination of EPSON UltraSmooth 100% cotton-rag, acid-free fine art paper, EPSON UltraChrome™ pure pigment inks and high-resolution EPSON printers.

How long will my UltraGiclée™ print last?
Under normal conditions, your print will last at least 75-100 years. See our information under “Caring for your Giclée”.

How long will it take for my print to arrive?
Our Giclées are carefully curated and matched to the original. Sometimes, this takes a few extra days but it is well worth it. Your print should arrive in 3 to 4 weeks from time of order. We will notify you of any necessary delays.

What if I can’t find exactly what I want from your selections?
Just ask! We will be happy to research your request through our network of Museums to see if it is available. Whatever information you have about the artist, title or place where you saw the image would help.

Do you offer framing?
Not at this time. However, we would be happy to ship your UltraGiclée™ to your favorite or local framer to cut down on the handling. We ship flat so there is no need to worry about creases or bunched corners. Just let us know your framer’s address. We can notify you when we have shipped.

Do you offer images from Contemporary Artists?
We have been working with a few contemporary artists on an individual basis. Within the next few months, however, LCP will offer work from a select group of contemporary artists. Inclusion of work onto our site will be determined by a process of jury selection. If you have suggestions for artists to include, please contact us directly.

How do you select the Museums and Exclusive Collections with whom you work?
Actually, they choose us! LookClickPrint is a member of the Museum Store Association. The MSA is a professional organization serving museums and museum stores around the world. We present our concept to museums and discuss possibilities for a unique presentation to our international audiences. We are always looking for the collections that will add the widest variety to our image library, while maintaining the quality of imagery our customers have come to expect.

Do Designers, frame stores, and other retail establishments have access to your imagery?
We are a free and public site but we do establish partnerships with the trade. You may wish to refer to individual sections of our site for more information.

What if I change my mind about the images I have selected?
We are confident you will love your UltraGiclée™ but, if for some reason you need to return it, we simply ask you do so in its original packaging. Your credit card will be promptly refunded. See additional information under “Guarantees/Returns”.

Where are LCP UltraGiclées™ made?
We are proud to say that your giclèe print is Made in the USA…New Mexico, to be exact.
